How long will it take for me to paint something?
Most people, after choosing a piece, design and colour, usually spend anywhere from 1 – 2 hours painting a piece. It often depends on the size of the piece they choose.
How much does it cost?
We have ceramic pieces from $10 to $90. Each piece is priced to include studio time, paint, glazing & firing in the kiln. For children’s birthday parties the average per child is $14 however this varies depending on your price range. Our most popular ceramics are:

Do you offer any help?
Yes! We have staff members who can assist you in techniques such as stencils, masking tape, sponges or stenciling. Designs can be drawn onto your ceramic in pencil and then painted as pencil burns off during the firing process. Feel free to bring in a picture you like! And for a fee we can actually paint a piece for you.
If I don't have time to paint anything, can The Swish Dish paint it for me? What does it cost?
We can paint your design for a $25 fee
Is there an age limit in the studio? And what is the youngest age a child can have a birthday party in the studio?
We allow all ages, including small children with an adult supervisor! But as a general rule we recommend 4 and up although we have had younger birthday parties. We can work with you if there is a great mix of ages you would like to invite.
How long does it take to get my ceramic piece back?
The process usually takes up to 7 days during low season and up to 10 during school holidays and before Christmas. We do however call you the minute your piece is ready!
